To deliver our tool, we build Oracle Warehouse Builder using Java and all the latest technologies surrounding Java. We also use SQL, PL/SQL, UML (Unified Modeling Language) object modeling, HTML, and XML technologies within the development environment. There is a wealth of skills to learn and use, both in building the product and in the before mentioned Oracle technologies. We primarily develop Warehouse Builder at Oracle's Head Quarter campus in Redwood Shores, California, but we have teams working across the globe with opportunities in the United Kingdom, India, China, Massachusetts, and Minnesota. We are looking for software developers with strong technical skills for entry and senior software development positions.
Responsibilities As a member of the development team, you will be responsible for development in one of the following areas of Warehouse Builder:
-Data Integration
Data Integration leverages Oracle Database functionalities and includes ETL, data flow design, process flow design, change data capture, real-time data warehousing, data mining, and OWB's code generation engine.
-Data Quality
Data Quality includes name address standardization, match/merge, data profiling, data cleansing, and data enrichment.
-Metadata Management
Metadata Management includes metadata version control, metadata comparison, synchronization, dependency analysis, metadata access and exchange, and knowledge management. Metadata Management also includes supports for Warehouse Builder's metadata repository, which includes metadata extensibility, cache management, object-relational mapping, security, performance and scalability Qualifications Required: - BS/MS in Computer Science, or, related fields with heavy focus on Computer Science - JAVA - Object-oriented design and programming - Relational database concepts - Strong software engineering and debugging skills - Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Optional: - Experience with Java Swing, JDBC, EJB is a plus - Knowledge of XML and UML is a plus - Experience with scripting languages like Tcl or Perl is a plus - Knowledge of the Oracle Database, PL/SQL programming and other Oracle products is a plus - Knowledge of IBM's DB2 Database, SQL PL programming and other IBM products is a plus - Knowledge of Microsoft's SQL Server Database, and other related Microsoft products is a plus - Knowledge of data warehousing or data extraction/transformation (ETL) concepts is a plus Location Beijing |
